THEMIS MULTIPLIER EVENT
The Multiplier Event in which the different Project Results were presented brought together a total of 85 people, including teachers from our own school, colleagues from other schools in Cordoba, and some families who did not want to miss the event.
The theme of the project, the development of ecological intelligence, is deeply rooted in our school, as we are an Eco-school, so all activities related to the environment and its protection are always well received. And this one was no less so.
The event began with a speech by the Director of our school, Mr. Juan Carlos Castro, speaking of the importance of educating our children from an early age in ecological intelligence, so that they grow up to become critical adults, committed to caring for the environment and able to be proactive, being an example for the younger generations.
Afterwards, the Erasmus + coordinators of our school (Alberto Barrera and Juan Antonio Luque) took the floor, who continued to highlight the important work done by Erasmus + projects in environmental education, with the creation of multiple tools that are then taken to the classrooms in our own school.
Finally, it was our turn. Paco Mulet and I, Mario Díez, presented the project and the tools that we have been developing together with our project partners. We talked about them, and about what we intended to achieve with each of them.
We reviewed the content and applications of the Teacher’s Handbook, talked about the environmental challenges competition, and presented some of the videos made for the PR3.
Once the event was over, with the collaboration of some secondary school students, a series of workshops were held in which the participants were able to discover first-hand some very interesting aspects about the pollution caused by our lifestyle, whether it be the impact of our clothes or the large amount of waste we generate, the use of renewable energies or biodiversity.
The event ended with a catering in which we were able to see first hand, among delicious food and drink, how the audience had liked what they had seen, as they let us know.
Therefore, the overall balance and repercussion of the event was very positive.
