Multiplier event in a partner institution of the LARPS high school

The THEMIS event to present the project to a wider audience took place in France on 7 February 2024 with students and teachers from the 1st and 2nd year Advanced Technician’s Certificate (BTS) programme at the Institute Jean Errecart in Saint-Palais.

The students of this “Management and protection of nature” programme play an important role in the field of environmental intelligence. They learn to analyse ecosystems, carry out inventories and impact evaluations and implement ecological engineering measures. The management of projects to valorise and preserve nature is at the centre of their studies. Their programme also covers animation techniques for carrying out educational activities aimed at specific target groups. The participants were therefore particularly interested in the THEMIS project results, be it the handbook, the THEMIS challenge game or the educational case study videos.

A week in April dedicated to ecological transition

The teachers present at the event were also very interested in the THEMIS educational tools that they can use with younger students (12-16 years old). In fact, the presentation of the THEMIS project results, which was rich in discussions, also led to that the THEMIS challenge game will be played as part of the “Transition Week” activities organised by the high school in April 2024. Last spring, the theme of the week was “Transitions, or how can we consume, produce, transform, sell and develop differently in order to master the challenges of tomorrow?”. We are very excited to see how THEMIS will make its debut this year!
